Do you start from a blank page every time you need to write an email, a notice, or a request? Most repeated writing is not hard. It is just repeated. This note is about the small habit that removes most of it, and about the book we wrote to teach it.
Goal
We wanted to publish one thing this week that helps a reader immediately, not a promise. The reader we have in mind writes the same kinds of everyday documents over and over: a reply to a customer, an announcement for a team, a request to a landlord or a school, a follow-up after a meeting.
The goal of this note is simple: show the method, and point to where the full worked examples live.
Evidence
The method is not a trick and it is not a technical skill. Across the examples in the book, the documents that came out usable on the first try shared the same three moves. First, the writer named the purpose of the document before anything else.
Second, the writer handed over the context the AI could not know: who the reader is, what happened before, what a good outcome looks like. Third, the writer reviewed the result against that purpose instead of accepting it because it sounded fluent.
Skip the first move and the AI writes something generic. Skip the second and it writes something confident and wrong. Skip the third and the wrong version goes out with your name on it.
What the AI decided
This company runs its day-to-day work with AI, in public, and the book was assembled the same way we work: define the purpose, provide the context, check the output.
